Indiana Jones Restoration

Restored in 2017. This was a high end restoration from top to bottom – including brand new cabinet decals and a stunning clear coated playfield.

The cabinet decals were in rough shape and needed replacing, the starting point is removing the decals and carefully preparing the cabinet for decals.

The backbox appears to have gotten wet at some point and required lots of sanding and preparation to get it smooth again.

The warning text has been silkscreened back where it belongs. All mesh grills and hardware have been cleaned and polished and replacement serial number decals installed in their original locations.

After repainting the ground braid and all the nickel plated metal parts get reinstalled. I upgraded the lockdown bar receiver to stainless steel.

Decided to try painting the wood black. All plastic and metal have been polished and reinstalled. A new display was installed.

The playfield is taken out of the cabinet and installed on a rotisserie where all parts will be removed down to bare wood. The bottom side will be sanded to look clean and fresh.

All parts are cleaned, many are replaced. The harness gets cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner and blown dry. All metal parts will be disassembled and polished in a polishing tumbler.

All manufacturing decals are replaced including the coil wrappers. The switched illumination have been upgraded to LED lamps.

The apron has been repainted and new decals installed. The metal has been re-chromed. All new plastics with artwork have been installed as well as the 3-D brick mountains. New flipper bats and plastic posts. All black side-rails have been sanded and repainted.

The fighter plane was replaced with a spare new old stock, the bi-plane was disassembled, repainted and reinstalled.

All the stainless steel will be re-grained using red scotch brite pads. Bumper bodies will be replaced. The mylar coatings will be removed and the ground in dirt will be cleaned thoroughly.
