The Addams Family Gold
Bally 1992
My wish is that this will be the last pinball machine I ever sell. Borrowing a line from American Pickers, it’s priced at an “I don’t want to sell it” price. Owning an original Addams Family Gold #0005 with under 600 lifetime plays is something truly special. It remains the best-selling pinball machine of all time, a record that still stands!
The game is complete in every sense. It includes all original items: the unopened “Gold” manual, the goodie bag contents, the certificate of authenticity, and even the original key-chain. Everything that came with the machine in 1994 is still with it today.
I personally delivered this game to its original local owner while working at Pinball Palace in West Babylon, NY. He was a serious collector with the means to buy every new machine of that era. On May 8, 2003, I bought the game back with 453 plays, a number I documented on a business card that still sits in the coin box. I carefully transported it home and it has lived as a museum piece in my collection ever since.
Only 1,000 Gold editions were made, each numbered. Pat Lawlor received #1. It is my belief that #5 was among the first sold to the public. My hope is that the next owner preserves it with the same respect I have.
